Cody Rhodes Retains Undisputed WWE Championship at Clash at the Castle
American Nightmare Defeats AJ Styles in Main Event
Lyon, France (WEB) - The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles in a thrilling main event at WWE Clash at the Castle on Saturday.
The match was a rematch from Backlash, where Rhodes defeated Styles in a hard-fought encounter. This time around, the two competitors once again put on a classic performance, with Styles coming close to dethroning Rhodes on several occasions.
In the end, however, Rhodes was able to overcome The Phenomenal One and retain his championship. The victory marks Rhodes' first successful title defense since winning the belt at SummerSlam.
Clash at the Castle was a historic event for WWE, as it was the first major stadium show the company has held in the United Kingdom in over 30 years. The event was a sell-out, with over 60,000 fans in attendance.
