Cody Rhodes Retains Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash

Rhodes Defeats Styles in I Quit Match

Cody Rhodes emerged victorious from a grueling I Quit match against AJ Styles at the WWE Backlash Premium Live Event on Saturday, retaining his Undisputed WWE Championship. The match was filled with intense action and drama, with both competitors pushing each other to their limits. In the end, it was Rhodes who managed to force Styles to utter the dreaded words, "I Quit."

A Hard-Fought Battle

From the opening bell, both Rhodes and Styles gave it their all, trading blows and reversals. Styles targeted Rhodes' injured knee, while Rhodes focused on wearing down Styles' body. The match reached its climax late in the contest when Rhodes hit Styles with a devastating Cross Rhodes off the top rope. However, Styles kicked out at two, shocking Rhodes and the WWE Universe. Rhodes then locked in a Figure-Four Leglock, but Styles again managed to break free. In a desperate attempt, Styles went for a Phenomenal Forearm, but Rhodes caught him with a Spear and hit the Cross Rhodes once more. This time, Rhodes was able to force Styles to submit, winning the match and retaining his championship.

Rhodes' Reign Continues

Rhodes' victory at Backlash solidifies his reign as Undisputed WWE Champion. The American Nightmare has been on a dominant run since winning the title at WrestleMania 39, defeating some of the biggest names in WWE. With his win over Styles, Rhodes has proven that he is a force to be reckoned with and will not easily give up his championship.
