2024 NBA Draft Day 2 Wraps with Plenty of Trades
Day 2 of the 2024 NBA draft was filled with trades, as several teams made moves to improve their rosters.
After a first round that saw several surprises, the second round was more of what we expected, with several players going to teams that were projected to take them. However, there were still a few surprises, and some teams made some very good moves.
The Los Angeles Lakers were one of the most active teams on Day 2, making several trades to improve their roster.
The Lakers traded up to select James Johnson with the 32nd overall pick, and they also acquired Darius Days from the Detroit Pistons for a future second-round pick. These moves give the Lakers some much-needed depth in the frontcourt, and they should help the team compete for a playoff spot next season.
Other teams that made notable trades on Day 2 included the Golden State Warriors, who traded up to select Michael Porter Jr. with the 28th overall pick, and the Brooklyn Nets, who traded up to select Jaden Hardy with the 17th overall pick.
The 2024 NBA Draft is now complete, and teams will now turn their attention to free agency. It will be interesting to see how the moves made on Day 2 impact the league in the years to come.
